WE OFFER 3 CEDAR SHINGLE OPTIONS AT THIS TIME
Understanding our Pricing: We price cedar siding shingles by the square foot. Give us a call to speak with one of our wood siding experts about price per square foot. If you know your approximate square footage, our wood siding experts can multiply it by the price per square foot so that you have a better idea of what your wood siding shingles will cost you. Price per square foot changes based on quantity or volume ordered. The finish price may include your wood siding plus one coat factory stained or primed.
We give “ballpark” prices to help you plan your project. Due to global uncertainty we are unable to guarantee those prices because prices may fluctuate. Price is only locked in once you've placed your order.
Please 877-960-9663 or email sales@buffalolumber.com for updated pricing on all projects. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Doing it the exact right way takes a LOT of time and a HUGE PAIN!
Realistically it is such a pain to finish wood shingles correctly that most people simply don’t!.
What ends up happening is they tack them up, stain or paint the face and then wonder why it looks terrible in 5 years (that’s usually when they call us).
Specializing in wood siding all these years has taught us the exact right way is the only way. PROBLEMS ARE A NIGHTMARE- AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS.
You can’t even get a decent builder to your project for less than $5000. Realistically no one will want to deal with you if there is an issue.

Unfinished cedar shingles are sold in "squares" of 100 SQFT. Depending on the shingle style selected they are initially packaged in bundles or boxes. During the finish process they are unpackaged and each shingle is dipped, brushed and dried individually.
When dry the shingles are stacked on a pallet which is delivered to you by box truck. Pallet max is approximately 1500 SQFT.
Depending on the mill selected to meet your order the shingles will either be hand dipped in the 4 step process outlined above or a meld of machine and manual Stain & Priming Process : The Shingles put through a set of rollers, stain gets flooded into chamber where shingles are submerged in stain for a period, move through another set of brushes & rollers to remove excess stain, are moved to a drip-dry-tray, then inserted into cardboard box, packaged 4-wedges per box.
