Cedar Shingle Siding
Its all about providing the best protection for your Cedar Shingles before you install. We have found that factory pre-staining is the best investment to ensure your wood shingles perform. Coating to protecting all sides can not be machine automated. Factory Hand Dipped Cedar Shingles is commitment to doing the job exactly right.
Factory Dipped Western Red Cedar Shingle Siding
Factory Dipped Cedar Shingles tested our commitment to doing the job exactly right. In order to get stain on all 6 sides of EVERY CEDAR SHINGLE we set up a custom dipping and drying line.
The most common cause of failure is not finishing the backside of the shingles. Now you know why. Doing it the exact right way is a HUGE PAIN IN THE BUTT!
Realistically it is such a pain to finish shakes and shingles correctly that most people simply don’t! But it is definitely worth the effort and the cost to do it RIGHT!

Realistically it is such a pain to finish wood shingles correctly that most people simply don’t!.
What ends up happening is they tack them up, stain or paint the face and then wonder why it looks terrible in 5 years (that’s usually when they call us).
Specializing in wood siding all these years has taught us the exact right way is the only way. PROBLEMS ARE A NIGHTMARE- AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS.
You can’t even get a decent builder to your project for less than $5000. Realistically no one will want to deal with you if there is an issue.
THE EXACT RIGHT WAY IS THE ONLY WAY!
We only deal in #1 Blue “Certi-Label” top of the line wood shingle grades. Our cedar shingle priority is "most likely to succeed long term". Our process is comprehensive, labor intensive and expensive! It’s also your best chance at long term success.

Unfinished cedar shingles are sold in "squares" of 100 SQFT. Depending on the shingle style selected they are initially packaged in bundles or boxes. During the finish process they are unpackaged and each shingle is dipped, brushed and dried individually.
When dry the shingles are stacked on a pallet which is delivered to you by box truck. Pallet max is approximately 1500 SQFT.
Depending on the mill selected to meet your order the shingles will either be hand dipped in the 4 step process outlined above or a meld of machine and manual Stain & Priming Process : The Shingles put through a set of rollers, stain gets flooded into chamber where shingles are submerged in stain for a period, move through another set of brushes & rollers to remove excess stain, are moved to a drip-dry-tray, then inserted into cardboard box, packaged 4-wedges per box.
We carry products from suppliers located all across the country so each delivery will be calculated based on location of customer, location of product manufacturer and weight of total shipment. See Areas we ship to and Delivery Information.
